21 July 2009 - Mass swine flu school closures could have huge impact on businesses

Medical experts have urged the Government to keep all schools closed after the summer holidays in a bid to combat the worst effects of the swine flu pandemic.

Schools with affected pupils did close when the first UK swine flu cases emerged but that policy was abandoned when the spread proved impossible to contain.

However, with children proving to be particularly vulnerable to the virus, academics are calling for schools to stay shut.

However, mass school closures would have a huge impact on the economy with parents having to take time off or work from home to look after their children.

And there are fears that if such measures are introduced the UK would take much longer to emerge from Recession.

It would undoubtedly have an effect on recruitment with more short-term roles needing to be filled as the UK adapts to new working practices.

This name change is to mark the anniversary of the company celebrating its 18th birthday and its recent expansion to include a training arm of the business which clients and candidates alike can greatly benefit.
